Open CPN on Samsung galaxy S9

Hello. First time using this forum. I've got a Samsung galaxy S9FE tablet. Loaded open cpn and have migrated charts. Then added the directly where the charts appear to have migrated to in the chart settings. But I cannot actually load any charts. Just the base global outline. Can anyone shed some light on this? Hope you are using the paid Open Cpn android app. I, like many others, have had difficulties with making the free version function.
