Open CPN on Samsung Tab 8 loading .

Hi Guys, I have used Open CPN for many years on Windows, however, I have just bought a Samsung Tab A8 and downloaded the latest Open CPN from. Google play.

I have my original CM93 charts and am hoping someone could help explain how I load them to the tablet. I have a Google Drive which I have never used before and have downloaded the CM93 charts to Google drive, but cannot figure out how to load them into Open CPN.

The tablet has cellular and Wi-Fi which is the reason I bought it, also has an SD card . Any advice on the easiest and quickest way to load the charts into Open CPN would be much appreciated or point me to somewhere I can find this, I am totally YouTubed up, and haven’t found anything on there ?

You have to showopenCPN where the chart folder is, just like the windows version.

There is one notable detail. With recent Android releases aplications are restricted in where on the storage they can access data and you need to place the charts there using something with elevated privileges, like X-plore file manager
For OpenCPN to be able to access the charts, they must be placed either under /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.opencpn.opencpn/files on the device or under /storage/XXXX-YYYY/Android/data/org.opencpn.opencpn/files on the SD card.
