OPEN CPN SAR PLUGIN

Hi,
I cant get the SAR plugin to open or be saved I get an error message
unknown format or damaged.
I have tried the mirror and direct links also.
My computer is windows 64bit interet explorer.
Any help is appreciated.

You get that error from what? IE? OpenCPN?

when I try to save it a new box opens on my desktop

Looks like you are trying to open it, not save. You have to save the file to your disk, make sure the name is SAR_win32_pi18_v08_pi.dll (You must get rid of " (1)" in the name) and copy it to OpenCPN's plugin folder - in your case most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenCPN\plugins\
Then you should be fine.
