Open Plotter-Open CPN with RP4

I'm getting ready to update my Raspberry Pi 4. I use Open Plotter with Open CPN. What is the latest version of Open CPN available that comes with Open Plotters? I'm currently using V 5.2.4 in my Pi4.

Check menu OpenPlotter->OpenCPN Installer->Refresh. On my system it's O v5.6.0

Thx. This was helpful. I was able to install O v5.6.0 on RP4. However, now I cannot open the program. It keeps saying "The default openCPN connection is missing and is not getting data from SignalK"

How do I get the newer OCPN version to run?

That message I suppose is from the OpenPlotter "Check system" function running automatically at start up.? The message is only a note you haven't connected OCPN to a Signalk connection. Just a hint.

How do I get the newer OCPN version to run?

The normal is to open menu "OpenPlotter" and run "OpenCPN". Isn't that available? See my shot.


And maybe a "silly question". Have you run: [ sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y ] in a terminal window recently to update your system?
