I downloaded OpenCPN for Mac, but the pc does not let it run???
Any suggests?

OpenCPN is not signed with a developer certificate. So the Mac guessed it is malware. Goto Settings/Security.

Try selecting highlighting not double click the app again, right clicking select open if you have a two button mouse.

it should prompt on the second attempt for you to accept starting it.

The same will happen for plug-ins.

When going the right click way, the option overrunning the macOS Gatekeeper will be remembered for the future. It is a one-time action.
