But then v5.2.4 > Release_5.6.0
They will not be ordered properly

mgrouch...

Git tags are not usually interpreted syntactically. They are simple text strings.

Re: OpenCPN 5.6.0 Released

Just updated the Flatpak RaspiOS 64 based on Debian Bullseye and the plain Bullseye version.

Reinstalled the Oesenc plugin and can report that now the Oesenc charts work in these versions.

Great !!

Is there a way to control waypoint name font and color? I believe it was blue in 5.2.4, just upgraded to 5.6 and it is now black with what looks like a different font. I cannot find the control for this anywhere.

Yes you can. I cover this in my Terry's Tips which you can download from https://www.mediafire.com/file/9cgqn...s_Tips.7z/file

Open "Options" (the cog icon)
"User Interface" tab; "Fonts" Section
Select (marks) form the list and then choose your font.

Re: OpenCPN 5.6.0 Released

OK, thanks, I found that bit, it allows me to change the font (which works) and allows me to pick a color - which does nothing. Stays black no matter what I do. This is on Mac OS 10.15.7. Any suggestions?

Re: OpenCPN 5.6.0 Released

Further info. There is an entry for Marks in the opencpn.ini file. This changes from "rgb (0, 0, 0)" when I set it to black, to "rgb (0, 0, 255)" when I set it to blue, and "rgb (251, 2, 7)" when I set it to red. So the UI is working, but whatever is drawing the text is not respecting the setting? It never changes on the screen - even the sample shown in the dialog does not change. This is true for any font, not just Marks. If you set a color, dismiss the dialog, say apply nothing happens. If you again select font the color in the picker has reverted to black.

Should I file a bug report on this?

Re: OpenCPN 5.6.0 Released

Thanks for all the hard work folks. I've been updating through the various candidates and now on 5.6.0. In live use.

Odometer was working on early candidates but not the later ones and now not working on 5.6.0. Speed needle now shows but not showing speed, trips etc not recording. Timer/resets ok.

Dashboard speed data is fine,

I've done the master catalog update etc for the plugins. Odometer vsn 0.6.6.0

I do not use gpsd, Data is sourced via an NMEA wifi link.

Except, as noted above, it does not appear to work in 5.6.0 on Mac OS.

Phil,
please post a snippet from the log file, either VDR or from the log window. Especially interested in RMC and GGA messages.
