OpenCPN AISradar problem

Since successfully installing the Navico radar plugin (on OpenCPN 4.6.1) a few days ago, I can not bring up the AISradar 'PPI' display, although the AIS targets are displayed on the chart and listed in the AIS target list. Don't know whether this is a coincidence or not. The only thing that happens is that the computer (running Windows 10) makes a 'bing' sound. Probably something simple but it is baffling me. Thoughts and advice welcome. Thanks.

Re: OpenCPN AISradar problem

Torngate.......

I've never tried the AISRadar plugin before so I fetched it from OpenCPN download and now it's running. It works fine for me on Win10 also while the Navico BR24Radar_pi is active.
It's not tested while receiving Br24 radar data though but the test emulator would be good enough for this. See attached shot.

Please check that your AISRadar_pi is still activated and settings are correct.

Re: OpenCPN AISradar problem

Hakan,

Thanks, I have checked over the various options/settings for AISradar, temporarily changed a few, checked again, but the problem persists. Almost seems to me that the 'bing' is signaling that the AISradar ppi window is already open and that I am trying open it again. Is it possible that the window is minimized and that I just don't see it on the display? I have tried re-booting my machine, and re-starting OpenCPN, still no joy.

Duncan..
I can't really come up with more hints, sorry.
But you say "try to open it again"?? --- You start the plugin by its icon in the tools menu. If started you close it by the same icon. The "bing" I've never heard.

Re: OpenCPN AISradar problem

Hello Hakan,

I have just downloaded another copy of the AISradar plugin hoping that would solve the problem, but no luck, the problem persists - but so will I!Thanks for your thoughts. Cheers, Duncan
