Found this from Logbook. It looks like the plugin is missing some library. Yet to be determined.

Please give me a comprehensive list of all MACos plugins that have this message and I will remove the mac versions and wait for a Pull Request from some Mac User to fix the problem. I have no idea how to fix it. Note that these plugins have been available for awhile, why are we getting these problems now?

I have tested the installation of several plugins and this is the result by checking the libraries which have been renamed from jail to dylib

A question.
looking at the log for squiddio i read this fail:

Note:

I am removing climatology and weather_routing from PIM until the problem is resolved.
I found windows has the same problem, and WR also causes O to fail when just using gribs.
I would remove gribs too, but it is an internal plugin.


NOTE
When reporting problems please please identify exactly OS, O version, Plugin Version, whether from PIM or exactly what repository and branch and how you built it.

climatology and weather_routing have been removed from PIM and will be added back when a PR fixing the problem becomes available.

Climatology is the culprit when being used with WR.


It would be helpful to have a comprehensive (and confirmed) list of Plugins (from PIM PlugIn Manager master catalog only) (version numbers please) that do not work with MacOS along with a good description of actions taken, conditions, and what happened. These will be removed until they are hopefully fixed.

Regarding the MacOS Plugin Issues. Thomas Cagney says here this is due to

I interpret this as the plugin-manager thinks that your system has the "wrong" architecture. This is likely a configuration problem in OpenCPN, where your system architecture isn't correctly identified.

We need to get this figured out. Also Jean_plumf is using RPI I believe.

on macos the following plugins do not appear on the sidebar when they are installed and activated on the latest beta version (they work on 5.2.4):

Climatology
Squiddio
Gpsodometer
Statusbar
Plots
Testplugin
Polar
Watchdog
Pylot

These plugins (for me important) are not present in the Plugin Manager
Weather Routing
OcpnDrow
VFKaps

Thank you amajori, for the comprehensive list. What version of MacOS are you using?Also your posts which include the log file explaining the reason for the failures will also be very helpful. if you can add a suffix like .pdf and upload here that would be very good.

I will be removing all of these for MacOS when we have identified which version of mac is being used and after we have some confirmation from another MacOS user who has the same problem.

I am sorry but I am not a mac user and will probably not be able to fix this problem, so we will need a Mac user who has an interest, to make a Pull Request with the necessary changes to my repositories see this link for the appropriate locations for Pull Requests with the appropriate changes. I have already spent too much time on updating these plugins and that well is quite dry right now.

I would also like to know which one of the MacOS versions is not working, or if it is both versions.

Also does anyone have any idea what "bundle" is missing?

I test with a MacBook Pro (year 2015) with retina and the new MacOS 12.0.1

attached the log produced during the installation test of the climatology plugin (import function).

It looks like you are using darwin-wx315 version (is this correct?)
and AisRadar fails and dashboardtactics does not. What is the version of dashboardtactics?
Is it the current one? Dashboard-Tactics 1.6.9.0? From this list

Yes, I use wx315.

Al standard plugins works : Grib, Dashboard, oeSENC (better ... very well), etc.

Ais Radar and tactics are not in the PIM list and therefore I have not ye tested them.

In summary, it seems to me that non-standard plugins (as I call them) have not yet been tested on Mec for this beta version.

I understand that it takes its time )
