Bug noted, corrected in github master. The "Chart Groups" tab will be updated after editing the "Loaded Charts" tab and pressing "Apply".

Hello,

I had two parallel installations:
- OpenCPN 3.0.2
- OpenCPN 01/03/1105

But there was also some older installations 3.1.915 and 3.1.919 parallel

I:
- Uninstalled 3.0.2 and 03/01/1105.
- Cleaned the machine with CCleaner.

And I re-installed version 3.1.1105. I was surprised to see that the installation was done in the old folder 3.1.919 !!!!

I thing that there is some problem with the install sofware.

After re-install correctly 3.1.1105,

When I use Add button, it seem to me that nothing change. it seem to me that the button was not active ...

But

By clicking on the "Add" button, I expected that another window opens. ... But it is the same window that changes below.

But I have a small 10 inch screen. And I have no time to consider the lower window changes!!. I would have had to think to use the cursor.

I felt stupid for not having managed to run the "Add" button. But I just do another test ... And once again, it does not work ....

Explanation.
I have an ASUS EeePC 1001 HA, W XP, SP3. Screen size 10 inches. 1024 X 600 or 1024 X 768.
It is theoretically possible to pass "on the fly" from 1024 X 600 to 1024 X 768. And it does not change anything for the operation of software ... Except with OpenCPN 03/01/1105!
- When I am in 1024 X 600, the "Add" button appears inactive.
- When I en1024 X 768, everything works fine.

First :
With my ASUS, I confirm, that with the screen in 1024X600, the tab "Connection" do not display correctly.

Second :
With my screen in 1024X768, the result is better but ... not completly better :
See first screen copy : There is no slider on right and it is impossible to see the last part of the tab 'Output filter)
see second screen copy : If I change the height of the tab window, then the slider appear and it is possible to see the last part of the tab (output filter).

Back to the (small) problem of console value background
1)There is no reference of the background colour for "journeyman_flat" style . Line 955 missing :
<text-background-location x="660" y="260" width="111" height="43" />

that was why I had no problem with this style ... but the colour was not the right one

2)To overcome the problem of the zone size in icons file , I propose this small patch allowing to have a good display even with big font size and without changing icons files:

I acknowledge the problem seen with some smaller screen sizes. I can reproduce it clearly.

A fix is in the works, coming in the next Beta.

Since VDR does not work with V3.1.1105, I used the old method of testing with NavMon Pc. And I looked that gives new Dashboard.

I can not find good readability. Is it necessary to update the names of the instruments in each update of the instrument?

Trying with GPS or with NavMonPc, I try to display the sentences.

No sentences appeared. It is necessary to click on "Pause" and then to click on "Resume". And then, the sentences appeared.

Maybe i misunderstood or i found something wrong in the connection : if only one sentence is ticked in the "accept only sentences" field, it is OK but if 2 or more sentences are ticked, no sentence is accepted.

If i want to output from the same port as input do i have to create 2 data connection lines or only one ?
Is it possible to create a line as input port @38400 and another line as output with same port @4800 ?
