Well ALT+Kbd (if you know which keyboard you have under your fingers - the French are the weirdest ones I suspect - sorry) is just the fastest for me.

Perhaps there is a way! Check out Audacity! Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder. Audacity is using WxWidgets!

ChuckSK...

Viewport changes when going to cm93:
What changes? Location, scale, or both?

Thomas, you're a genius! I use Audacity myself but I hadn't noticed...
I checked their source, and it turns out to be really simple (and totally undocumented in the wxW manual of course):

Just separate the menu name from the shortcut with \t. Obvious when you know it...

Thanks. That was a fallout from the unification of distance formatting.
Fixed.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.814 Released

Here's an updated menu suggestion after a couple more hours fiddling...

- Fixed up the logic for Route/waypoint activation which was confused.
- Display shortcut text on all items which have shortcuts.
- Made Scale In/Out available in quilted mode if applicable.

I was looking at the three commands "Go To Here", "Jump To" and "Move Boat", and I thought the distinction between them for new users could be somewhat unclear. To improve that they are now "Navigate To", "Zoom To", and "Move Boat".

We had about 50/50 use of Jump To and Zoom To in various places in the UI, so I have unified that to be Zoom To across the board.

I'm still having problems seeing AIS class B targets. On the odd occasion they pop up but generally the icon isn't there. The rollover works, and they are listed in the targets list.
No difference in the latest master.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.814 Released

Just a thought, is it "Zoom to" or "Pan to"?
Don't know how you've been using the word zoom. To me it means a change in scale, but perhaps in OpenCPN it means something different

rgleason..

Zoom to means change in scale,Pan to means moving around on the chart.

Thomas....

AIS Class-B bug:

Walking thru the AIS drawing code in chcanv.cpp, I see nothing obvious.

Can you query the invisible target?

Do you see the target highlight (partial square box around target) when you query the invisible target, say from the Target List?

Digging further into this, I find that I'm a victim of my own settings....
All the class B targets were moored or anchored, or otherwise moving at very slow speed..
Sorry for the red herring!

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.814 Released

For fine tuning:

OwnshipLengthMeters=nn
OwnshipBeamMeters=mm
OwnshipGPSOffsetY=yy
OwnshipGPSOffsetX=xx

The values have to be entire meters or are fractions valid as well - "3.5" for example?

I'm aware that the scale of the charts will let you see the difference in very few circumstances.....
