Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

Yes, on OS-X the Z-order or stack of windows is a nightmare for OpenCPN.
There are several places in the program where this happens...

Helps to put the exact description (as in the thread) into Flyspray, the bug tracke,r to kill these type of bugs one by one...

When creating a route I used to be able to access the menu in the midst of route creation - typically to zoom or pan. I no longer can do that. If I attempt to access the menu, as soon as the mouse departs the chart area the entire menu disappears.
...I guess you mean the toolbar and not the menu..? If so, yes for me too,the toolbar disappears with the route-pencil "engaged". I think this is a good thing.
But I think I know why you want to do this. ..to place a detailed start, then zoom out to "make time" across open water and then zoom in again to place a detailed end.

To zoom during route creation, try keyboard shortcuts "-" an "=" (though I think of it as "+")
Keyboard shortcuts are for just this sort of problem, I think.

Its a change from prior versions. I'm not sure exactly which version contained the change but I don't like it. My opinion plus 5 bucks will buy you coffee pretty well everywhere in North America but that's my opinion nonetheless.

Ah ... habits .... And of course, any change is unbearable.

It seems to me that this change is fairly recent. Personally, it seems to me to remember that this summer there were galleys to draw a route if you went out of the screen. That may be why the change has been implemented.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

Hi Dave, You just got a crash report about logbook Konni from me. win-xp

please ignore it. after a clean uninstall of the old logbook 1.1 and a new install of 1.192 the logbook works. my first try was just to install 1.192 over the old 1.1.
A pitty that Konni can't help anymore. thankyou Konni.

by the way, the link on http://opencpn.org/ocpn/downloadplugins should be changed from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/logb...OpenCPN%203.0/
to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/logb...Logbook%201.2/

this seems to be the last version:
LogbookKonni-Setup-1-192.exe
http://sourceforge.net/projects/logb...2.exe/download

A minor test report: Vector data base miss?
On Win32-XP, Vector charts - CM93(2012)
There are a couple of OBJNAM elements printed like: "C-Map#10067953". Is this from the C-map data base or a missing conversion in OCPN?

You're right as usual! I've tested the AIS list on another machine, a W7, and the list is fine. Background colour for a selected row is still present even if I touch the buttons. So my initial report on this is for sure related to my old XP and it's sometimes weird graphic card?? Sorry for any possible trouble I may have caused.
Thanks Håkan

Dave

I can't pinpoint exactly when this problem started. Using the latest Git code, there are large areas of A scale cm93 charts with no details at all. Because of this, they appear all gray.

Rendering error of an AIS target.
Observed under XP (OpenGl) and Debian ARMhf (no OpenGl).
The A20 ARM system is feeding the data stream via TCP/IP to the XP client.
VDR file attached (unzip).

"Allesandro" has the "Inland Blue Flag" set. That's just the way the icon looks.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

Ah, ok...
That's not in the docu, isn't it?

EDIT: found it - was just not left aligned in the manual......
so "scanning" I just skipped the entry.

Funny that the guys don't check their data...
Always such a crap.
