I would add two minor problems to complete the subject
When a big dialog font size is chosen
1) route properties dialog is not entirely visible (see shot attached) while track properties dialog is OK with the same font size
2) Tide time table is not correctly visible in the tide/current dialog (see shot attached) may be an horizontal scroll bar would fix it ?

Just so we are talking of the same idea...

The attached shot shows the options dialog in French with special font set. This is OCPN 3.3.1731, not the current github. The settings (options) dialog has always worked for me.

Are you saying that you cannot ever see a special font for this options dialog?

Sorry to have given very bad explanations (my poor language skill )

I do have the same as in your screen shot
I can choose "dialog" as in the shot, I can select a font size (let's say 12) and validate.
As I said all the other dialogs will take this font size but not the dialog I named "setting dialog", the one which is opened when the "options" tool bare icon is clicked
The shot attached shows the dialog with the default font size even though I have selected size 12 before as you can see for the route manager.

Only for OpenCPN Beta version, a new Task Type option have been introduced; now when creating a request you will be able to choose between "Bug Report" and "Backwards".

Yes it means "Regression", if needed, the wording can be changed.

in Tracker/Flyspray (#1420) is declaring the loss of the option (Show/Hide Status bar in the User Interface Bar).

I confirm that works for dialogue!
But the menu is not working for font selection

Changing Dialog fonts has not been available for me (W7) for a long time.
In 1606 as well as in 1731, starting with English locale on a French W7 system, changing dialog font to a large Verdana font will only be conspicuous in the pop up when I attempt to change the locale to French (see pic) but not in the dialog windows themselves

Changing dialog fonts under French locale reveals (as I have already mentioned once in some thread, but I can't capture a screenshot with the menu pulled down ) that the menu items appear both in English and French. Attempting to change font either in 'Dialog' or 'Dialogue' won't work, but as above, attempting to change the language reveals the new font in the pop-up

The setting dialog font problem appends on my two devises . A HPCQ60-Vista and a ASUS-W8.1 10'

But it's another very annoying problem I faced two times very recently : a windows crash and the lost of the entire tracks.
During navigations, my W8.1 10' net book is on the "chart table" inside the boat and the two times, I was not here at time to see what happens exactly, but I am sure Windows was crashed and restarted, and off course O closed. When I restarted O, the entire track has disappeared.
O is connected to an AIS who retransmits all GPS informations through an USB/RS232 converter with the very last prolific driver.

The first time, it was about the end of a 9 hours trip and the second time after about 2 hours. During the navigation time, everything worked fine.

I found nothing curious in the logs nevertheless I joint its under

I suppose it will be difficult to find what is wrong and may be It's not inside O, but the most boring is to loose the entire tracks. Is there something to do

you might check if there is a memory leak - memory usage is creeping up slowly and finally crashes O. Exact time until crash depends on charts and usage.
We have two PCs with faulty drivers for OpenGL which show this behavior.

Resource Monitor or Task Manager.

What differences are there in their roles?

I think I can answer that. "Use Garmin GRMN (Host) Mode for Upload" specifies that OpenCPN will use the GRMN protocol when sending route and waypoint information to the GPS. It is necessary because most Garmin receivers will only accept route and waypoint data in that format.

"Use Garmin (GRMN) mode for input" is a new feature that allows OpenCPN to read position data from a Garmin GPS receiver in GRMN mode. That eliminates the need to switch the Garmin receiver to GRMN mode for uploading route and waypoint data and back to NMEA mode for receiving position data.

If you check the box to use GRMN mode for upload and do not check the box to use GRMN mode for input the program will work the way it did in the past. You will need to set the GPS to GRMN mode to upload data, then change it back to NMEA mode so OpenCPN can read position data.

The settings are independent of one another.

ASUS EeePC 1015h W 7.

I reply late but it's the fact that my first installation O331731 does not work well. Too crash. Too anomaly. So I just unsinstall, clean and reinstalled everything.

1 I noticed that the uninstaller plugin S63, do not delete the file s63_pi.mo.

2 The first time I loaded the CM93 and the S63 test and raster Argentina. Then I wanted to install the NV-Verlag. And this is where things began to malfunction. When I tried to install the raster charts VisitMyHarbour. Installation of these charts seemed ok but it was impossible to see.

3 I de-installed the NV-Verlmg charts. When I tried to re-install O hangs in the middle of the ingestion of charts. The blocking always took place at the medium of S63 charts.

4 This time I started by CM93 charts, then I loaded charts VisitMyHarbour. This time, These charts are displayed correctly.

5 ° I then tried to load the charts NV-Verlag, without installing the NV-Verlag plugin. Obviously, they were not displayed. After that, I installed and activated the plugin. It was enough to revive the construction of the database. Things went well. the charts are displayed correctly. I did not need to de-install first.
