By the way, I would like to see a copy of your logfile ...
Thanks
At the time of testing yesterday and today, I had no connected USB key, or dongle NV-Verlag or VisitMyHarbour.
I'd just try to overlay maps with GE screen using a new version (V12) of GE2KAP Paul had sent me.
There are long, long time, I did not use GE2KAP. And in particular, I have not used GE2KAP with O 331931. I think I can say that it is or may be GE2KAP OoRExxx that trigger this phenomenon.

As this is the second time this summer that I am a victim of this phenomenon, I decided to talk about it here.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

I know you've all been very busy with development, and stamping out [four letter word], but I noticed that Beta Development Change Log | Official OpenCPN Homepage Beta Dev Change log only goes up through 3.3.1117. I hope someone has subsequent changes list and can post it as we've had several other stages since then I believe, 3.3.1824, 3.3.1911, 3.3.1931.

Dave,

The previous log file was with OpenGL OFF.

So I run twice O and I send here the log file obtained.

Note that now, with OpenGL ON, there is no chart bar nor up, nor down .....

What you seek may be, partially, in this page is in both French and English :

OpenCPN : Evolutions en cours de test

But, sorry, there is nothing about 3.3.1911 ...

Hi Rick,

The attached file gathered all #FS corrections, the information has been gathered each time bdBcat was opening a thread for a new beta version (the twelth for 3.3.xxx).

Is this Excel file OK for you ?

Rick...It looks like your environment is still screwed up, the packaging works normally if your setup is according to the build instructions...Pavel
It works now. Thanks. -Use right version NSIS2.46.5 (unicode)

Moving from Msys NSIS3.0a back to MSVC NSIS2.46.5 (unicode)
1. Uninstalled NSIS 2.46 and deleted the NSIS directory under Program Files (x86). (Win7 did not have to reboot)
2. Reinstalled NSIS 2.46 [ nsis-2.46.5-Unicode-setup.exe ] from this link ( I had wrong version)
https://code.google.com/p/unsis/downloads/list
3. Check path C:\Program Files (x86)\NSIS should show a "Unicode" directory, if not you installed wrong version.
3. Ran CopyNSISUnicodeRegKey.bat also included in the GIT repository ->
..\buildwin\NSIS_Unicode\CopyNSISUnicodeRegKey.bat to change the registry HKEY
Download and install it. Due to a "bug" in CMake, which only looks at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NSIS" for the installation location of NSIS and the Unicode version adds its registry key in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NSIS\Unicode", there is some registry tweaking needed.
Just copy the value (it's the installation path) of the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NSIS\Unicode" key to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NSIS".
4. Environment Path changes (probably not necessary):
remove ";C:\MinGW\bin;C:\MinGW\MSYS\1.0\local\bin;C:\MinG W\MSYS\1.0\bin"
now reads C:\Program Files (x86)\Poedit\bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin;C:\wxWidgets-2.8.12\lib\vc_dll;

5. I have been reading this page NSIS Modularized Packaging Commands | Official OpenCPN Homepage and would like to help produce modularized packages, but had to get NSIS working again, and CPACK now works producing a 35,996kb file
C:\..\opencpn-git\build\_CPack_Packages\win32\NSIS called opencpn_3.3.1931_setup.exe

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

TCurrent and OTCurrent arrows appear when zoomed in slightly closer than the O current arrows. So you may see O arrows and no OTCurrent arrows until you zoom in one notch.

I was playing with V8 harmonics recently and it pulled this data out of memory even though everything was set up for the normal O tidal current data. Similar to the problems we had with the chart display showing pieces of unwanted chart.

Out of my depth with this stuff but is a memory cache holding data that 're-appears' and causes these problems.

Running GE2KAP and Google Earth with OpenCPN/OpenGL the tidal current arrows eventually appeared correctly.

Hi, long time since I´ve been here and have just downloaded the latest
v. 3.3.1931. It´s getting better and better....

I am experiencing a strange phenomenon with my CM93 maps with strange
breakup or overlay with stripes. See attached...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

Bug report.

When i use the keyboard to zoom in and out using the + and - keys, it causes the auto follow mode to disengage. Using the on screen zoom buttons works as expected. Windows 7.

Thanks

Dave

Re my post yesterday regarding the unwanted ´graphic noise´ when
displaying normal BSB/KAP charts. This did not happen with the previous
version of OCPN.

Another problem I had with the earlier version is now solved thank you.
Having set OCPN to the background in order to use Firefox,it would
not be recalled afterwards but went into a crash situation.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

Hello Dave,

For more information:
Tonight I launched O 322.
No problem message. And icon plugin Tcurrent appeared in the toolbar. I could run Tcurrent.
I raised 331931 O v (which is installed in parallel) and this time I did not have the anomalous message. Icon Plugin Tcurrent appeared.
I rebooted the ge2kap pi.dll-file and I did run GE2KAP.
I stopped O, and I raised O. No abnormal message.
I really do not know how to explain the fact that tonight did everything functioned normally.

Bests regards

Gilletarom

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

Another bug, I think it may have been reported already. After about 2 hours of navigation, the program starts breaking up, the charts (CM93) fail to load, just a world map loads, tracking the boat and route overlay seem ok. Windows 7.

Edit: Where do you send feature requests? It would be good to be able to change the time displayed in the navbar as local time and to offset the wind direction by an adjustable degrees.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

Re my # 83

Can anybody else clarify why all my .kap/bsb charts gets all skewed up
when I move it with the mouse? This has never happened in any of the
previous versions of OCPN?

My CM93 maps seems not to be affected so far.

Perhaps I should go back to the latest proper release?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

As v. 3.3.1931 had problems displaying .kap/.bsb maps, I went back to the
last stable version v. 3.2.2 and installed over v. 3.3.1931

Starting v. 3.2.2 TWICE,it came up with the attached message.

Both Fugawi ENC and other map display programs works perfectly so I
am really lost for ideas now. ANYBODY?
