Thanks

The actual version of Sierra is 10.12.3, not 10.12.2.
The crash report is attached.
Very nice also the new options windows.
So the user is noth bothered with too many settings...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.127

BTW I have tested this version 4.5.127 also with an old iMac running Mavericks 10.9.5 and see the same disaster. This OpenCPN Mac version is unusable.

I don't know if this is relevant with S63.....
The naming for the SENC files has changed from 4.4 to 4.5.127.

See http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post2224769

What happens with the old SENC files when a user upgrades?
Should we recommend that the old SENC directory is deleted before an upgrade?

Carcode...

Thanks for the report.

I see that it crashes when you push "Prepare all ENC".
OK.

What about the empty options screens? Is it always that way?
Does it crash in other places, like normal zooming, pan, chart load, etc?

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.127

cagney...

Older SENC files will not cause a problem to O45. They will be ignored.

But they do take useless space. So perhaps a note to delete the entire SENC directory on upgrade to O45+ would be a good idea.

Thanks
Dave

Re: Buoyage direction symbol size.

Something funny about the screen metrics on your display.
The other "Chart MetaInfo" items look large, too.

Will you post the logfile? We need to see the OCPN startup, before charts are loaded.

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.127

It doesn't even compile on my Win7 / VC2013 machine...
First I get this message from CMakeLists.txt :
"There exists a relic 'include/version.h in the source tree! Remove it.'
When I remove it, CMAKE creates another version.h in the main source directory (~\OpenCPN\src\version.h), but it seems it's not found during compilation.
As a result the compiler gets tons of error messages like
C:\git\OpenCPN\src\chart1.cpp(783): error C2065: 'VERSION_MAJOR' : undeclared identifier
2>C:\git\OpenCPN\src\chart1.cpp(783): error C2065: 'VERSION_MINOR' : undeclared identifier
2>C:\git\OpenCPN\src\chart1.cpp(783): error C2065: 'VERSION_PATCH' : undeclared identifier
2>C:\git\OpenCPN\src\chart1.cpp(1948): error C2065: 'VERSION_MAJOR' : undeclared identifier
2>C:\git\OpenCPN\src\chart1.cpp(1948): error C2065: 'VERSION_MINOR' : undeclared identifier
2>C:\git\OpenCPN\src\chart1.cpp(1948): error C2065: 'VERSION_PATCH' : undeclared identifier
and finally stops with compile errors.

When I see the same result with 3 different Macs (MBP, MBA and iMac) I have stopped further testing to not waste my time.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.127

Hello All,

I come back to the crash encountered this morning. My PC has been used extensively all summer and then this fall and in December and January for a lot of testing, I have uninstalled everything (O4.4 and O4.5) and then reinstalled everything.

Since then, no crash.

Yet I opened Grib and Dasbord. I posted the "particles" wind, and I launched VDR to read a file and I opened chartdownloader to download the only Belgian inland file (85 MB). No problem despite the workload.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.127

Hi,

Cmake does not run on Orange Pi (Raspberry Pi Clone) running Jessie. Error message excerpt below

CMake Warning (dev) at CMakeLists.txt:397 (add_subdirectory): Policy CMP0013 is not set: Duplicate binary directories are not allowed. Run "cmake --help-policy CMP0013" for policy details. Use the cmake_policy command to set the policy and suppress this warning. The binary directory /home/scoots/Downloads/new/OpenCPN/build/src/glu is already used to build a source directory. This command uses it to build source directory /home/scoots/Downloads/new/OpenCPN/src/glu which can generate conflicting build files. CMake does not support this use case but it used to work accidentally and is being allowed for compatibility. This warning is for project developers. Use -Wno-dev to suppress it. CMake Error at src/glu/CMakeLists.txt:57 (add_library): add_library cannot create target "GLU_static" because another target with the same name already exists. The existing target is a static library created in source directory "/home/scoots/Downloads/new/OpenCPN/src/glu". See documentation for policy CMP0002 for more details.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.127

Language switch halts OCPN
Win10, O 4.5.127
Changing language in Tools-User interface and click the OK button makes OCPN to hang - No Response.
Normally is there a message box asking for a program restart but this is not shown. The new language is though active after a forced close and restart.

In some rare occasions can OCPN survive after a new language - OK button, still without the message box, and the new language is then active but external plugins are not shown!?

Changing toolbar style, traditional - Journeyman, is working and there is the restart message box as normal.
