Indeed the color "CHDRD" does not exist in the system.
Replace it in chcanv.cpp at function "void ChartCanvas::ScaleBarDraw( ocpnDC& dc )" to "SNDG1".

I need to dwnload 4.6.22, but have noticed some memory increases while operating on day long trip with several crashes. Could not send the crash info. Is it stored somewhere? This is v4.6.2 on MS SurfacePro 3 updated to creation version.
Will try to dwnld & install 4.6.22 but people should check this for memory creap/leaks.

Bdbcat, while with Sean, talking, we had brought up o v4.6.2 with seatalk instruments via a converter plus bu353 gps puck, using 93 charts, north up, quilting, preserve scale, smooth pan, zoom to curs, show grid, show chart outlines, show depth units ON. With use accel graphics, no texture comp. Confirm del of tracks and routes checked, lock wp unchecked. Under chart display no checks. UI Ave enable touchscreen interface and enable scaled graphics checked. PI enabled: vdr 0.4, weatherrouting 1.10, otcurrent 1.3, wxfax 1.7, tactics 1.0, grib 4.1, dashb 1.2, wmm 1.1, chartdwnldr 1.2.
and while we were sitting and talking 4-5 hrs, it crashed twice. Sean said that shouldnt happen, but he didn't know I had so many pi running. The next day Provincetown to Boston, I had 4 crashes at the beginning while recording vdr for venturefurther, then I was able to record w vdr until normal shutdown in beantown. (What an active waterfront!) I think I should have disabled all unused pi earlier! I could see task manager opencpn process growing gradually.

I guess I should disable all but basic 4 pi. Install 4.6.22. Try again and also while running vdr. Will try a download next. &;then report tomorrow.

Has anyone else checked memory leaks while running O with basic 4 pi?

Have dwnld 4.6.22 and installed to ms surfpro3 win10 creation, no other pi, same settings. Startup mem use 163mb, zoom around and in and out nemory grew to 415mb. Does not seem to go down when leave O at rest with 0 cpu. Norton security is just below in task manager with 82mb memory use about 8% cpu (various).

Don't know if O memory use just increases until its used up and crashes. Need to connect seatalk instruments and gps and install VDR and start recording and see what happens.

What should be happening re memory use? Now I see O use went down to 405mb, but computer mem use is still at 56%.

When O has an active route, with gps and instruments, and is making a vdr recording, it is a different set of conditions than if O is at rest. When O is at rest should memory use go back fown to 163mb?

Win10 Creator, dated HP Elitebook, recent Git code, inbound pi plus BR24radar, Watchdog, Ocnp_Draw, serials and network connections, following a route for hours;>> Low CPU usage and stable memory!

Sorry for the late response, but i have been cruising Vanuatu where there have been no reasonable internet connection.

Lars, took me several tries to dwnld 4.8.0. It runs well 1 day so far on surfpro3 with win10 creator.

God question, they have updated the download but not the general web page for downloads. Go here:

but when you just go to the program download page you will find the 4.8.0
