With synaptic, if I try to install the second, I have the message:
"E: /var/cache/apt/archives/opencpn-plugin-draw-pi_1.4.4-0~xenial1armf.deb: Attempt to replace" /usr/lib/opencpn/lib_ocpn_draw.so "which also belongs to the package" OpenCPN-plugin-draw1.4.4 ~ xenial1 "

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.8.10129

Gilletarom...

The "opencpn-plugin-draw-pi_1.4.4" in the Beta repo is the same as in the Release repo, but with different name by mistake. So you do not need to install from the Beta repo. Perhaps I should remove it from the Beta repo to prevent further confusion.

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.8.10129

Hi Dave,

I have another observation that would like to report. It is about the color used for showing soundings and AIS names under night mode. It is very difficult to see. See attachment for soundings.

I am not sure if it should be a feature request or issue to be reported as it was always the same since my first use of OpenCPN.

Onboard ship, the soundings showed on ECDIS under night mode are much easier to see.

It applied to AIS name as well. However, there is a manual setting for font for AIS target name. So it can be change to some other color that can be seen both in day mode and night mode. I am not sure if the color of soundings can be changed or not.

Thanks, best wishes,

Bruce

Hi Dave,

Newly discovered missing fairway lines with a new 505W S57 chart. The following is a link to the file for your reference.

As shown in the screen capture, the boundary lines marking a newly established fairway was not showing with 4.8.10129. It is showing with 4.4.

In night mode, boundary lines also missing. And the safe water mark also missing in 4.8.10129.

As well, you may agreed that the boundary lines under night mode are very difficult to see.

Thanks, best wishes,

Hi Dave,

The missing fairway boundary lines are belong to cell 507. The files are compressed and linked as follows.

Bruce...

I only have an old copy of 507W, without the new fairway.

Can you give me a link to the S57 chart with updates?

Thanks
Dave
