No, these are versions of the flatpak runtime, not Ubuntu releases.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 5.7.1 Beta Test #1 - Plugins

We really need our testing community to test this plugin (testplugin_pi 1.0.225.1 in the Beta Catalog) on all OS, that includes
1. 6 untested (brown) OpenCPN 5.6.2 Operating systems.
2. 7 untested (brown) OpenCPN 6.7.1 Operating Systems.

We need to know if all OS builds work before deployment across 20-21 of the plugins!
Your help to accomplish this goal will be much appreciated, and the faster all OS become green, the sooner you will have plugins!

Rick, I have no idea about how to test this plugin. Are there instructions on what you want?

See screenshot of message I get after installing it.

Kevin...
This is just a "smoke test", to prove that the plugin installs and runs on all supported platforms. The functionality does NOT need to be tested.
So, you pass.

What hardware/software versions are you running?

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 5.7.1 Beta Test #1 - Plugins

Guys, we really need testplugin_pi v1.0.225.1 tested on many esoteric flavors of linux and ubuntu (for both OpenCPN 5.7.1 and the older OpenCPN 5.6.2)!

(The Carrot) This will enable us to update the plugin template more reliably. Also we aren't able to update the plugins until all tests have been completed. The sooner this is done, the quicker you will have plugins.
(The Stick) Build only plugins based on the TestPlugin Template that have actually been tested. Untested plugins (for a specific OS) may be dropped, as there are too many builds already, and nobody has indicated that they use that OS anyway.

Look at the list below, the brown OS need testing.

Thanks Kevin for your test and report.

Should be green, tested OK on O562. Does not apply to O580.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 5.7.1 Beta Test #1 - Plugins

Using Beta2 and running AIS Radar View I have all of the AIS targets piled up on top of each other no matter what range I select.

All of the AIS targets are showing in the correct locations and the AIS target list looks good.

Running AIS View 1.3 downloaded from the Beta Library

The attached image shows what I am getting.

The basic test required here is simply to verify that the plugin is found in the catalog, can be installed, appears in the toolbar, and that it can be selected.
You ( and BCN ) pass with flying colors.

Thanks
Dave

Thanks, botanybay. My win machine puts all the targets out at about 4.1 nm! Somewhat different result, but probably the same problem.

The code works properly with wx3.1.2, but does not with wxWidgets 3.2.1 so it is related to that and needs to be fixed. Thanks for adding to the knowledge.

Additional useful information. Just received Actisense NGT-1 and connected between N2K bus and the computer. (Some oddities which I will document in the Beta 2 thread).

So now instead of connecting using serial/USB connection to the Camino 701 Class A AIS I am now getting the data via the N2K to the Actisense Bridge.

No change in the behavior.

AIS Radar View 1.3 still shows everything at 0 range.

Otherwise AIS targets look normal on display and on the list.

Just a different test case.

Can we please get these brown OS tested?

We cannot build any plugins without having these tested.
