OpenCPN Briefing Update

I have updated my briefing titled "Exploring OpenCPN' to include installing and connecting the GPS plus minor corrections.

The document name is 'Exploring OpenCPNv2' which means version 2, an update from my previous version 1.4. I guess some might think it pertains to an early OpenCPN version instead of an updated version of the briefing? Hadn't thought of that. Will consider that in the future.

The images may show OpenCPN 4.4.0 in the title bar but are not as much different from the current version that detract from what is being presented. (Unless the OCD readers let it get in the way). I only have so much time left in life to make new images that are updated just to show the current OpenCPN version in the title bar.

Every time I follow one of your mediafire links and click on the download button, my AV software blocks a page at </title><meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=false, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0"> <link href="/images/jump-favicon.ico" rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" /> <meta content="" name="keywords"><meta content="" name="description"></head><bo from opening - saying that it is infected with "URL:Mal".

That is a very good introduction to OpenCPN!
So good, that we should probably recommend all new users to read it before digging in to the official documentation, or.....?

For the next version of your tutorial...... A new feature in 4.8.0 is worth mentioning.
The numerical keys 0,1,2....9 works as shortcuts to the chart groups.
Try it. Press "0" and "All Charts" are displayed. Press 4 and the 4th chart group you added will be displayed, and so on. Very simple.

A few rainy days and I had the time to do a major update to the briefing.

Hopefully it will not change unless OpenCPN does and influences it.
