When you want to register in flyspray you have to fill in a jabber ID.
I get an error "not a valid jabber ID"
Which are valid jabber ID's?

No, you can leave it blank.

as far as I know is the latest "offcially" downloadable beta version 716.

But Dave has done some more changes on the 19th and 20th.

So if you build your own version from GIT the latest beta should be 720.

JP,
have a look at Git For Windows Developers – Git Series - Part 1 - Jason Meridth - Los Techies : Blogs about software and anything tech! - probably the best tutorial for Win users available.
You can also use tortoisegit - Project Hosting on Google Code - especially if you are familiar with the other Tortoise* tools, but I find the command line easier to use even on Windows
If you will have any problems let me know what's it and I will try to help you with the particular solution.

Open a terminal in your development directory.

If you have an opencpn folder - rename it to something else.

Enter the command --
git clone git://opencpn.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/opencpn/opencpn

Flyspray Admin volunteer

Folks...

Gunther (netsurfer) has volunteered to help administer the Flyspray tracker.
He is now a Flyspray Admin, and can make user account changes, shuffle tasks, assign priorities, etc.

Thank you Gunther

We can expect to see some new projects added, with potentially some bugs shifted around to suit.

Thank you all for the reports so far. Looking good.

Dave

Hi,

I started to set up the tracker as follows:
  • each plugin (module) is an own project
The author of the plugin should register an account on the tracker, please. So he could get the 'Project Manager' for this project and all entries are automatically assigned to him.
  • all stable versions of OpenCPN are combined in the project 'OpenCPN - stable' (which is also the Default project).
In this project the version belongs to the main version number of OCPN. Build numbers, if needed, have to be given in the text.
  • the actual Beta/ Developement version of OCPN is a separate project - 'OpenCPN 2.2.x - beta'
In this project the version number is the build number. So any reports could be assigned to the respective build.
I also added an option 'future version' for Feature Requests, which should only be added to this project.
The idea behind this structure is the following:
If the latest Beta versions becomes stable
  • the version number can easily be added to the 'OpenCPN - stable' project
  • remaining open tasks are easily shifted to the newly created OpenCPN X.X.x - beta project
  • the actual 'OpenCPN 2.2.x - beta' project will be deleted
Gunther

Hi,

In Flyspray, is there the possibility to see easily all the tasks which have been resolved as in Mantis ? It is an interesting function.

Click on "Advanced" next to the search field and select "All Closed Tasks" in the Status list. The filtering possibilities are not as detailed as in Mantis, but should be enough.

There are two closed tasks in the 'OpenCPN 2.2.x - beta' project if you want to test it.
