Kind regards, Lars
Are you sure that the Camino 108 can serve as a multiplexer? To my best knowledge it has a NMEA183 output and a NMEA2000 output. Mine also has a WiFi, but only broadcastst there its own data: position an AIS. None of the other data available in the N2K network are forwarded to WiFi. So, I assume the Camino is not listening to any of the data, just broadcasting its own stuff.

I use a Camino 108 WiFi and it is connected via N2K to OpenCPN (on a Pi with a CanHat). O displays all AIS data and uses the GPS data as position reference.

My N2K network is also connect to the Autopilot, which has a SeaTalkNG. As said above, SeaTalkNG is basically N2K and can be connected directly. No issues here.

I would highly recommend to go N2K exclusively. AIS produces so much traffic (at least in my area with often 200+ targets) that a slow network will run in issues.

Best,

Manfred
