OpenCPN code refactoring

Question for OpenCPN developers.
What tools are you using for refactoring OpenCPN C++ code?
Thanks

Re: OpenCPN code refactoring

How to ask a serious leading question.

Introducing a refactoring tool for VS Code

To try to answer a serious question, I know it is done at times with OpenCPN, as Pavel has talked about it and done it to sections of the code and I believe bdbcat has too.

What is your experience and knowledge about refactoriing?
I didn't even know what it meant until some time ago when Pavel explained.
I could imagine that with much of the programming done by a small group of programmers who have a common style, that refactoring on a regular basis would create an additional layer of bugs and confusion to deal with.
