Re: OpenCPN for Mac

I simply downloaded, mounted dmg, placed in applications folder, executed, it froze indefinitely (while taking 99% of my cpu with it).

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't work out of the box.

Capt lulz...

Could you please have a look at and post the opencpn log file after your startup failure?

It is at ~/Library/Logs/opencpn.log

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN for Mac

Re 2.4.708 for Mac
Mounted dmg an dragged to apps folder..
double clic started opencpn no probs
on Macbook running 10.6.8

First time dashboard open an closed...crash.....ok after that

A few more observations..

Toolbar better but still has strange behaviour ..it disappears on losing focus to Safari browser an cannot be coaxed back...... but does reappear with a click in the main window grab bar after losing focus to mail app.

Text wrapping in object query window going off right side in definition window, cant be adjusted to read all

Selecting Red still defaults to blue in route colour option

Many thanks 4 all the effort

Congrats for this build, this one works nicely even under Lion here ! (10.7 GM).
Toolbar has strange behavior, so I tried to compile to check (from git). I follow this doc without success : Compiling - Mac OS X | Official OpenCPN Homepage
Do you still use Xcode project OpenCPN.xcodeproj to compile mac version ?

thanks,

I was too late with the patch, should be in the next beta.

Yes it does, here is the correct one: http://opencpn.org/downloads/beta/OpenCPN_2.4.714.dmg

Also it's available on the normal download page at OpenCPN.org.
