Baikal...
BOYCAN01 already exists and is used by several rasterization rules. What EXACTLY do you want to do and what your problem is?

I want to add objects SMCFAC description which gave you six months ago.

I note that some coloring to buoys not apply because in chartsymbols.xml for objects with coloring set boycon01 not boycon76
found in particular in lateral buoys
find and fix all the inconsistencies in the git

Baikal...
OK, so as a first step, get http://journeyman.se/opencpn/rastersymbols.tif
add the symbols (described in Vector Palette | Official OpenCPN Homepage, if not understandably enough, we will update it while resolving the problems you encounter underway) and post the result, then I will guide you through the rest of the process.

Baikal...
Yes, you are right, there are 6 new symbols in the PNGs in master tree. The original tiff should be updated or completely abandoned.
Please don't use the PMs here, my inbox is always full, I really don't check it very often and it is really the least efficient way to communicate - either create tasks in flyspray or on github, preferably with a patch of course...

1yachtua

Later this month I am delivering a boat from Tortola to Panama (I know it is hurricane season.)

I have been looking for some charts of the Caribbean that will run under OpenCPN. Inexpensive is good as this may be a one off trip. The boat does a chartplotter with appropriate chip, but I would like a backup on my tablet.

I have come across a company named 1yachtua that produces charts for 3.80 euros.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Re: OpenCPN General

In the carribbean, my backup is the Nation is package, on my Note3. Just sayin. Ubuntu laptop primary, OCT and CM93, Google Earth images downloaded ahead of time for harbors and such.

€3.80 per chart sounds pretty good, though I would have to see a chart or two.

Re: OpenCPN General

Is there any certification which means OpenCPN follow the IHO guidelines from public organizations for OpenCPN?

I went with Navionics. The charts are less expensive and I know the company. I may get the US and Canada charts later.

Re: OpenCPN General

I've installed open cpn 3.2.2 on wind 7 pro
It works perfectly except for not being able to see ship traffic on the mapping in open cpn. I can see my boat from the GPS but nothing comes from my ICOM AIS which is connected to my usb port on my laptop.
Any suggestions or am I missing something?

Re: OpenCPN General

Have you installed the AIS plug-in? And enabled it?
