OPENCPN MAP PATH DEPTH LIMIT?

Is there a limit to the depth of a map path OpenCPN will read?

i.e. Is this path valid?:
E:\CHARTS\OPENCPN\NORWAY\BSB-NORWAY\NW017_1.KAP

The final sub-directory also contain the NW017_1.BSB equivalent.

I´ve done a Full database rebuild but none of my Norwegian detailed
chart series starting with NW... gets loaded and can not be found?
The same charts load and displays perfectly in other nav progs.

The number and depth of your chart's path (35 and 4 sub-directories) is not the root cause, i am using a Chart's path with > 45 characters ( & 6 sub-directories) and it is working.

You wrote that the database has been rebuild : OK

Are you sure that the KAP format of your NW.. charts is recognised by OpenCpn ?,

May I suggest, just for a try, to modify the character "_" by "-"

Now you´re talking!! Just remembered,all the maps have a capital .KAP
I think they have to be in this way: .kap
