OpenCPN mbtiles zoom factor

Thank you all for the great work you did and you do with OpenCPN.

I'd like some help with mbtiles charts please.

I have installed the latest paid version of android OpenCPN and successfully loaded mbtiles charts from SHOM.

My issue is when I zoom in, OpenCPN automatically switches to a more detailed tile before being able to read the previous level.
I would like to be able to zoom in more on a chart without the scale level changing.
I may be wrong, but I assume it is due to my screen resolution which is quite high for the screen size, and I assume this is the purpose of the slider "chart zoom / scale weighting" for raster and vector in menu : "Display > Advanced"

I have tested all settings from -5 to 5 and it doesn't seem to change anything.

Is there anything I can to do to be able to zoom in more before it changes to a more detailed tiles please ?
In the OpenCPN Manuals I read you can call for a smaller or larger scale chart on Windows / Linux / OS X. Can it be done on Android ?
