OpenCPN not responding - help needed

Ok anyone know anything about opencpn I have downloded every verstion but its not working I'll start it and with in 1 minit I get not responding

im using windows 7 32 bit no matter what oprncpn i download it will ( not responding ) eather when im downloading the charts ( bsb/kap/cm93s/or when i nav around it to see or try to get my gps running

What do you mean by 'not respond'. Does it freeze at some point? If so, what are you doing when it "does not respond"? Do you understand the controls for the program? Have you had bsb charts running and visible? These problems are contextual ones, so you must be specific too, so people can help.
When first staring up, I found that referring to the online User Manual was very helpful.OpenCPN User Manual | Official OpenCPN Homepage

My guess is that this has something to do with your charts.
