OpenCPN on Ipad Pro 11

I cannot figure out how to launch the open CPN on my iPad. Insights are greatly appreciated.

It downloads from. https://opencpn.org/OpenCPN/info/downloads.html but I cannot open it.

Opencpn doesn’t work on ios. Need an android tablet.

OpenCPN will never run on an iOS device as it is open source. Apple does not allow open source apps on security grounds.

If you run OpenCPN at the chart table on a laptop or some such, you can run iNavX on multiple iOS devices and have them shadow OpenCPN. I have an iPad at the wheel station doing this. See this thread.

The terms of use of the Apple App store conflict with the GPL, the license OpenCPN uses - nothing to do with security.

Well, that’s a disappointment. I have no desire to add a laptop to my equipment. Thank you.

No need to add a laptop. An android tablet will do
