Try Menu -> Education -> OpenCPN, it should be there.

Re: openCPN on Linux Mint so far....

In Kubuntu you find O in Education/Science.
I'm not familiar with Mint..... Have you looked in the desktop folder? That could be an alternative if the distro want to pander to Win users.

There is of course always the option to edit the menu and add a link to OpenCPN under whatever heading you like.
You cold also add a link to O in your $HOME folder, or any other folder.

Re: openCPN on Linux Mint so far....

I'm just testing Mint20.
LennartG, above, is spot on.
OpenCPN is in Menu->Education.
There is a search function in Menu. Use it.
The OpenCPN executive is called "opencpn".
Any installed executive in Linux can be from the command line with "which".

Code:
$which opencpn
which (!) should return
Quote:
/usr/bin/opencpn

Re: openCPN on Linux Mint so far....

Here is my post for opencpn on mint 19.

https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...-206219-2.html

The post starts to describe the file system I built which was quite successful (for me). It makes OCPN file system unbreakable. You can add on auto backup for the RAM disk OCPN directories to a synchronous secondary file system and then you can have your settings persist across reboot.
