This is a known issue with the site:

See the threads for some workarounds, change browser, clear all cookies/caches.

PS - working fine for me at the moment

Re: Opencpn.org Help broken?

Happy Seagull

I am sorry to report that access to the wiki seems to stop at various points, then if you wait an hour or two or maybe 3, it comes back.

I notice that it does this when I am editing the wiki, after a number of saves, the text screen will go blank and if I am in the Dev Manual, the Opencpn Manual can be viewed normally, but if I go to edit it goes blank too.

If I just stop and wait for 3 hours it is usually back as normal and can be edited a limited number of times before it will do that again.

It is troublesome when you are in the middle of doing something.
I have tried clearing the cache and rebuilding the index. I will inquire at the dokuwiki forum about this behavior.

Sorry.

Re: Opencpn.org Help broken?

Well, hurray- it's working this morning...Thanks, Rick. The downloaded manual refreshes my memory very well but the online tips for getting a bluetooth gps happening on Linux Lite seem a little more complete .

Re: Opencpn.org Help broken?

Now that you mention it. There were many "orphaned" bluetooth images which were causing a problem. I deleted a number of them, (banished to the "attic" I think) and the website is no longer choking up (we'll see over time).

I believe this was causing us all the problem with the blank pages, and making it impossible to edit. This condition seems to have been alleviated.

I think these images are not optimized and our website cannot handle them. There are some other orphaned images that I need to investigage.
