Re: OpenCPN RC 4.1.1301 Release

If you zoom far out to show a large area, the map gets grey without showing map if using OpenGL. Without OpenGL it displauys correct.
This happens under ubuntu 15.10 x64 using AMD A10 prosessor /grapics - 16 gig memory.

Testing Ubnbutu 14.04 x32 on a old Thinkpad T42 2 gig memory works fine with openGL and without OpenGL.

s63 was updated to version 1.3, see: https://github.com/bdbcat/s63_pi.git
but obviously nobody compiled it and make it available.

Re: OpenCPN RC 4.1.1301 Release

Gerhard,

we are testing some modifications and updates - also in order to make the handling a bit easier for the user. And to include learnings from the last year and a half.
Will be released for production soon.

Re: OpenCPN RC 4.1.1301 Release

On a fresh git, the directories gtk and cairo are missing from the buildwin subdirectory and thus it will not recompile. Specifically, the build process can not find cairo.h or expat.h.

I also get there errors from building the package:

CMake Error at G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/build/cmake_install.cmake:31 (file):
file INSTALL cannot find
"G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/buildwin/libcurl.dll".

CMake Error at G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/build/cmake_install.cmake:213 (file):
file INSTALL cannot find
"G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/buildwin/crashrpt/CrashRpt1402.dll".

CMake Error at G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/build/cmake_install.cmake:217 (file):
file INSTALL cannot find
"G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/buildwin/crashrpt/CrashSender1402.exe".

CMake Error at G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/build/cmake_install.cmake:225 (file):
file INSTALL cannot find
"G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/buildwin/crashrpt/dbghelp.dll".

CMake Error at G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/build/cmake_install.cmake:233 (file):
file INSTALL cannot find
"G:/Users/dwoodall/Documents/GitHub/opencpn/buildwin/ocpn_gltest1.exe".

I copied gtk and expat directories from 4.1.1108 as well as the files mentioned above and it builds fine other than still needing to build chart_ldr twice.

I did look in the github 4.1.1301 source and none of those files are in the current master.

Thought you might want to know so we can get a complete master.

Regards and Happy New Year!

Doug..
You may try to refresh your buildwin folder:
Download opencpnplugins from SourceForge.net

Re: OpenCPN RC 4.1.1301 Release

A regression from 4.0, not sure when it was introduced.

I'm using the build in anchor alarm. If I unplug the gps(USB) it takes around 5 s until an alarm is triggered. But it only send one single alarm. If I pan or zoom, I get another alarm each time something changes.
My expectation is to have the alarm on continuously as long as the alarm is set and the gps doesn’t work.

I've tested. It's still precisely as of your description.

re:
If we choose, the options to hide the menu bar, I note that it is not possible to make it appear using the "Alt" key. How to do ?

This is clearly a regression against O4. We removed this feature due to troubles with Alt-Tab on XP. Remember, Hakan?

However, since it is a regression, I think we can re-enable this for Windows later than XP (i.e.Vista +) and linux generally without much risk.

Coming to github soon.

Thanks
Dave

re:
With O4.0, the F4 key to enter or exit the mode "road Creation".
With 0411301, it does not work properly. The "Stop Freer road" is not present in the context menu obtained by "Right click".

On O4, and 4.1.3101, F4 starts/leaves the "Measure" function.
Is this what you mean?

Thanks

re:
By cons, icons plugins, such as the grib plugin, dashboard, IACFlee, VMM, which I tested, become blurred.
In this regard the icons in the plugin window Grib even noticed, they become blurred due to the use of the cursor options. I guess it's the same with all internal icons of all plugins.

I concur as follows:
a. Your are correct, the GRIB and Dashboard toolbar icons do not display correctly when scaled. This is two problems, really. There is a code problem, fixed shortly. But, we also need to create additional SVG graphics for the toggled state of these two icons.

b. General PlugIns (e.g.VDR) do not have access to the SVG libraries built into OCPN, nor do they (yet) have their own SVG files for display. This is up to the individual PlugIn authors to implement if they desire. To update GRIB, for instance, we call for aspiring graphics artists to help us out here, following the excellent initial work done by nohal (Pavel). Interested persons can PM me or Pavel for tips to get started.

Thanks
Dave

You are correct. It is a regression.
Fixed, coming to github shortly.

re:
I just created a new dashboard, knowing that there already was one. The old dashboard is no longer displayed and only the new displays.
The check box of the old dashboard is not checked. This explain why the old dashboard no longer displays.

I cannot reproduce this. Will you try again, and give us more information if available, please?

Thanks
