It does not export all possible parts of a layer, only the parts visible in OpenCPN.
For example, in a layer consisting of a number of marks using the extended features to link each mark to a picture, only the marks, not the pictures will be exported. The end result is that the exported gpx file will not work, unless the pictures are copied manually, and all the links in the gpx file are changed.
While not a big problem, it needs to be spelled out in any documentation, to avoid user confusion. This, of course, will only help those who bother to RTFM.

Thomas
I do not understand. I have not done enough testing. I thought I understood that what is visible is what is called in the manager routes / tracks / waypoints / Layers.
Is this only what is visible on the screen chart area?

To clarify, it will work with extended marks, as long as you use the exported file on your own computer. The links will still point to your pictures. But you can't "export" the exported file to a friend and expect it to work on his OpenCPN installation, without doing what I said in the earlier post. While fairly obvious if you are used to O, it can confuse beginners.

Ok it seemed obvious that any transfer from a PC to another PC, involves carry everything. Including files with the same folder structure. But it will probably better said in the help.

Re: OpenCPN Release Candidate Version 3.1.1328 Released

Hello Dave, Hello Thomas Cagney,

With Notepad, I studied the file structure gpx economic zones. I made four files, three in France and one in Australia. With variable size: 18K, 48K, 164KB, and 929Ko.
I have these 4 files as permanent layers, some other permanent layers and a little route, a little track and 3 marks.
And I "Export all that is visible "

It run ok. But it is necessary to wait approximately 3 minutes. And a total of 1.2 MB gives a gpx file exported 2.5 MB

Dave, since the export (or deletion) can last a long time, must display an information throughout the duration of the export or removal layers and/or routes, tracks, marks.

Thomas, I place attachment, my files. It is possible to place them on the website.

Re: OpenCPN Release Candidate Version 3.1.1328 Released

On Win7, using debug version of 1329 and NavMonPC to stream nmea to Ocpn Com6 at 38400. I check Show nmea and it streams, but I think the popup should open a little bigger so at least one line of data is showing streaming. AIS etc seem to be working fine. I have no plugins, should I build it and try plugins? What would you like tested for connections and data, etc? Also have a GPS puck and could try setting up dual GPS?

ptizef...

re:
"I would like to point here a small problem in the Plug-in interface :"...

I propose a less intrusive solution:

Add to PlugIn API 1.9 the following

Code:
extern "C" DECL_EXP int GetChartbarHeight( void );
which does

Code:
int GetChartbarHeight( void )
{
    if( stats && stats->IsShown() ){
        wxSize s = stats->GetSize();
        return s.GetHeight();
    }
    else
        return 0;
}
Reason: Stats window is an overlay. The real cc1 window size is the same, whether the chart bar is shown or not. In my proposal, the PlugIn can do the math...

OK?

Dave

Maybe we can devote some real energy to this idea after 3.2 releases. Volunteers, anyone?
Some (most?) of this can be done with the kml overlay plugin. It probably needs some polish and a lot of optimization if files are getting bigger (right now, there's no optimization at all: objects are computed even out of the viewport). But IMHO it'd fit just fine!

Links are now available on the Download -> Layers Page.
The UK files needs some more work though, so I have not yet published those. The UK proper, file contains a lot of overseas stuff that should not be there.
Thanks!

Hello Thomas Cagney,
I'll watch. May be a copy-paste error. It is true that the original file has over 430 000 lines.

Thank to have in account part of my work.

For me, and unless I am mistaken,, United Kingdom, is :
England,
Scottish
Wales
North Ireland
Falkland Islands (United Kingdom)
Gibraltar (United Kingdom)
Ascension (United Kingdom)
Saint Helena (United Kingdom)
Tristan de Cunha (United Kingdom)
South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands (United Kingdom)
Bermuda (United Kingdom)
Turks and Caicos Islands (United Kingdom)
Cayman Islands (United Kingdom)
British Virgin Islands (United Kingdom)
Anguilla (United Kingdom)
Montserrat (United Kingdom)
Pitcairn (United Kingdom)
Jersey (United Kingdom)
Guernsey (United Kingdom)
British Indian Ocean Territory (United Kingdom)

All these territories are part of the United Kingdom. And all are marked as such in the original file. What do you want me to change? I have forgotten some of the kingdom?
B.R. Gilletarom.

Here join my last file. But normally, it is the same.

Hello Thomas Cagney,
I think you want that I do not put dependencies "outside" with the main island. This is done in the following file attached that can replace the previous one.
The external dependencies are in the second file.
