Re: OpenCPN v5.9.2 Beta test released

If anyone insterested in install OCPN in Raspberry Pi with no add-on (e.g. flatpak, openplotter, etc.)

I followed the instructions of installing a Beta OCPN in RPi and made a .sh file to automate the installation:

I have named as upd-ocpn.sh, but of course you can name and place whenever you want:
Code:
#!/bin/bash
sudo chmod 777 /etc/apt/sources.list.d/;
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opencpn.list.save;
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opencpn.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opencpn.list.save;
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opencpn.list;
repo=http://mumin.crabdance.com/bookworm-backports;
wget -O- $repo/opencpn.list | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opencpn.list;
wget -O- $repo/KEY.gpg | sudo tee /etc/apt/keyrings/opencpn.key;
sudo apt update && sudo apt install opencpn;
save it and run it to update from time to time OCPN.

run in the same directory where the batch is or give the full path to it, e.g.:

Code:
sudo bash upd-ocpn.sh
and if it works after all you'll have installed latest beta of OCPN.

in both on my RPi works at home but in my RPi5 on board doesnt find "mumin....." but at home it works, maybe a matter of firewall on board??

spirare...

Touch the "Help" icon ("?") on the toolbar. The current config and log file locations will be shown there.

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN v5.9.2 Beta test released

Dave...I am totally impress by the initial Flatpak version testing of OpenGL and other improvements commented before...Well-done !

Here an observation... can't install the AIS Radar Plug-in...it does not launch after install.

I will do more extensive test once you make the Ubuntu version available...I use this daily. W11 test to come later this week.
