Is anyone working on Open CPN running Netbeans on Windows 7? I was wondering what compiler to use and if I needed any special class libraries?

Has anyone written any code for Open CPN using Java?

Just getting back into programming after more than a few years away and am looking for a project.

I would post this to flyspray but dont have an account. Just a repeat of my previous post as I think its an undesired feature.

The waypoints of a track are movable with the cursor without having initiated any route editing function. Not tested on previous builds. test build 2.2 918. on unbuntu netbook 10.4

I think there is a configuration point to lock the waypoints, but I can't check it now. Perhaps it should be backwards, that they are only movable by configuration.

Well I have an account on the main site but those credentials dont seem to work on flyspray and I did not see a separate registration field on that product. I would assume the same set should work but in my case they dont..

Is there a separate set of credientials required?

Best and thanks

Thanks...its located under etc in tools. Perhaps some consideration should be given to having it set as the default operator as new users of OCPN will never find that check box and inadvertantly start moving waypoints "without noticing" if the zoom scale is high enough thereby changing their route especially if the mouse cursor is used to pan and zoom the main display.

Best regards and thanks

If you put your mouse over the little people icon to the right of the "Login!" button, the word "Register" will appear to the right. Took me a while to find, as well.

Also, for some reason the first time I registered, it didn't work. I got the confirmation e-mail, followed the instructions, it said it worked. But the admin checked and the account wasn't there.

Second time I tried it worked.

Don't know it this had anything to do with it, but it appears the first time I tried, it was from the view "OpenCPN - Feature Requests". The second time it was from the view "All Projects". I could tell by the name of the sender of the e-mail. Probably coincidence, but...

timer, track bugs and datum enhancement

Hello,

Here are 3 points:
1) bug ?? I was using a opencpn debug build (918).
sometimes a popup opens saying there is bogus timer
see: timer bug.jpg

2) bug in trace: where GPS is off for a little duration the trace insert some points very far.
see: trace bug.jpg

3) in the region where I am sailing, the charts are based on a 1883 survey. They are not using the WGS84 datum.
I could correct the BSB header to correct the reference points.

What to do with CM93 ?
I had a look in the source code.
The CM93 is mapped on a S57 object.
I would like to add something in the right click menu saying:
"correct this map datum".
The correction should be stored in a config file.
Then when the map is loaded or when the map is displayed the coordinated are transformed.
Where should be the right place to do this. What object, what method ?

Best Regards,
Flav

How does one download the latest beta version? I tried:

but get build 716.

Thanks

Please bear with me.
Before I upload the new Beta I first have to talk back to Dave to clarify one point.

Immediately afterwards I upload the new Beta. Then you'll find it as always under: Download OpenCPN | Official OpenCPN Homepage

Thanks for your patience,

Gunther

Dave & Geckosenator

There are errors in the celestial module preventing full compilation of 1004 on Ubuntu. I'm attaching output from stderr while compiling.
