after the new version do you agree not to sue us [ok] the window partially draws (see attached), then the process chews up ~12.3gb of physical RAM until it dies a minute later with:

the opencpn.log file gets up to:

21:18:14 NZST:   Chart directory #1: /home/hamish/tmp

work-around: get rid of the old 1.3.6 config with "rm -rf ~/.opencpn"

Do you have a copy of the offending 1.3.6 config file?
And I guess I might make something from the stripped backtrace, if you have it.

Nothing seemed to work so upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and all is now OK.
