I try O 42 and O 421. On my lenovo U41 under W 8.1. Same problem.

I have placed the V10 french harmonic file in UserTcData folder. Same poblem !

You might try to enlarge the tide window perhaps? It has nothing to do with the harmonics files.

It is mpossible to enlarge the tide window. Note also that the "ok" button is not completely visible ...

I try with all plugin desabled. Nothing change ....

I try also with OpenGL ON or OFF. Nothing change.

Perhaps a problem with a dll ? ... With a widgets ?

Very strange, your tide window is completely different. Might be the miracles of wxWidgets?

The fault in the tide window is definitely a regression.

If you reduce the Settings->UserInterface->"Dialog" font size, the table/list should re-appear. A bug....

This evening I opened up Options>charts and found the Tab for Chart Downloader was missing.

I looked in the ini file and found enabled=0.

Setting enabled=1 fixed the problem.

Curious huh?

There doesn't seem to be any way to disable Chart Downloader short of modifying the ini file.

I think the user manual should probably have greater details tabulatoin of what the various font designations apply to.
We could start be just listing the obvious ones...

Chart downloader is in reality a plugin. Options->Plugins will let you enable or disable any plugin without editing the .ini file.

OOps. Not the first time I've made a mistake. My guess is I disabled the Chart downloader by mistake.

One thing to note. With my list of PI's Chart downloader is last and the disable button does not show (even with the window slider all the way down) unless you click on it.

I think all the disabled plugins don't show any buttons until you click on the plugin description. Plugins on this screen can be reordered by the user as desired.

When these plugin will make it on the OpenCPN website, I will integrate them.
So far I do not find any git for chartslider.
tackandlay seems to have slalled for a year and has some major bug still open, but it looks interresting, I will have a look at it.

Dave Cowelld mentioned he would be working on tackandlay at some point.
I got it to build, by comment out "//#include "ocpndc.h" just for windows and it does open and run in Windows, loads a polar file but then looses functionality. I don't believe the linux version has this problem. I don't know what ocpndc.h is for.

The packaging for OpenSUSE of OpenCPN 4.2 with all the Linux compatible plugins as now reached Beta level in my OBS home-project.

All the plugins listed bellow are now active and seems to do something (full test will take a bit more time).

I am starting the test for the releases of OpenSUSE that I use. Including a legacy '13.2 32bits' which is the last one working on small old cheap Netbooks that are very handy in a boat.

If test results are positive, I should transfer the package to the official OpenSUSE pages, in about 2-3 weeks.

The OpenSUSE Wiki page will be updated during that period.

Note that due to the change to wxWidget-3.0, depending of the version of OpenSUSE, you might be forced to change the source of wxlib for the OpenCPN release. If that issue creates conflict with other of your software, please let me know. I could (even if I do not like/want it) create a special libdir and package name to duplicate the lib only for OpenCPN.

The request to remove the old releases of OpenCPN and plugins which are now integrated in the main OpenCPN is normal but will require a manual acknowledgment.

A simpler alternative might be to remove OpenCPN-4.x and all dependency and re-intall the new one. Your preferences are in your $HOME and will be kept.
