"No scale to click on when the navigation options toolbar is vertical."

Yes, that is true. Some compromises necessary with smaller screens.

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.529 Beta Test

Confirm the zoom feature on both my systems too.

Clicking the onscreen [+] at a scale of 1:10000 causes a zoom to 1:1800 whilst using the keyboard it zooms to a much more friendly 1:7800.

Mouse wheel zooms from 1:10000 to 1:5000

Odd rounding as previously noted by others.

It's a 15" screen, 1024x768 and there is plenty of room for the toolbar to remain horizontal.

Screen width 285mm (same effect on manual or auto screen width)

Toolbars are 11mm on short dimension.

User display scaling all at default (0)

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.529 Beta Test

I haden't noticed this before but on CM93 charts some leading lights have a "?" where the top mark should be. This is probably not new but when scanning a beta version one tends to be on the lookout

Moo...
I think that you have "Smooth Panning / Zooming" option set.
And I agree that the zoom action is a little funny with this option engaged.
I'll take a look at this...

Thanks
Dave

Should have said that this is fine with chart graphics style set to simplified, the problem appears when graphics style is set to paper chart.

I have now and oeSENC is now the latest version 4.2.8. Thanks!

It has also sorted out the error messages I had with updating other plugins

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.529 Beta Test

I have encountered what I believe is a bug in OPCN v5.0 and a peek at the source for v5.1.428 indicates it is still there. I hope this is the right place to report it.

In response to an OCPN_ACTIVE_ROUTELEG_REQUEST message, OPCN responds with the active route details. Here is an example:

Quote:
[
{
“active_waypoint_lon” : -1.5005,
“active_waypoint_lat” : 50.708832,
“bearing” : 86.21566585,
“error” : false,
“range” : 22.43250287,
“XTE” : 0,
“active_route_GUID” : “UK-S:Portsmouth-Yarmouth_A”
}
]
I think this is wrong. You can see that the GUID is set to the route name rather than the GUID. Certainly, if I then request the route itself with OCPN_ROUTE_REQUEST quoting the supplied GUID/name, it returns an error, presumably because it does not match.

The problem is in chart1.cpp at line 8700 in v5.1.428
Quote:
v[0][_T("active_route_GUID")] = g_pRouteMan->GetpActiveRoute()->m_RouteNameString;
Looking forward to a fix! Thanks.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.529 Beta Test

Dave...

macOS now with 519..62aa from some minutes ago is running again.

Had again a start-up with missing Display Options menu - you remember that this is something that happens sometimes on macOS.
In this cases the oeXXX pop-up will not show up neither.

A restart of OCPN will resolve this point usually for the session.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.529 Beta Test

Chart scaling on the mac using the +/- icons or the keys works with a factor of 1.3.

And sometimes the factor is 5.1 aprox.
Head scratching...
