Pavel..Jean-Marie..
My settings (In Swedish but I think you understand), see shot:
But I'll look further. I made some tweaks to this when we discussed change of languages, if you remember.
Still strange that "Departure" can catch the correct format and ETA not???

Are we talking about this window? I have French (Can) set in my system and French (Can) set in OpenCPN.

Hakan...

Your OpenCPN seems to be set to en_US. In my opinion we should stop fighting the system locale (which with wx 3.1 is half hopeless anyway), but I remember the e-mail discussion where you and others advocate doing it. Here is the result...

Maybe it should just conform to the International Standard Date and Time Notation... if only there weren't the other date picker issue Pavel raised. We could all get used to it for simplicity sake!

Then there is the question of how all the plugins like Weather_routing_pi handles it, which is an American format (screwy country that it is) which is probably not worth dealing with now.

Aha--- Yes, I use to have O set to US when discussing and show shots here. So you've adapted the locals not to system settings but to the combination of system setting and O language. Splendid!
So when I switch to Swedish in O also have the local date format in ETA and "next tide".

That one I couldn't imagine. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the info and a good coding.

Thanks
Håkan

@houlejm..
This explain the difference between our system.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Beta Starts

If I create an MBtiles file with two zoom levels the resulting chart is not correct. It is a rectangle at a very small scale.
To illustrate this problem see my first attachment showing SasPlanet with a polygon which I create a mbtiles chart at Z17. This creates a good chart at large scale of 1:8000 which is shown in the second attachment.
Then I create another chart with two zoom levels Z10 and Z17, The resulting chart is a rectangle at a small scale of 1:1000000 which is shown in the third attachment.
The fourth attachment is the hlg with a txt suffix added.

If this has not been reported yet I will open a flyspray for it.

Paul...

This is probably a duplicate of some other Flyspray mbtiles tasks.
But just to be sure, will you send me your Z10-Z17 mbtiles chart file, for confirmation of the fix?

Thanks
Dave

Dave
I can reproduce and attached mbtiles based on Paul's hlg file (this file defines the selection made in SASPlanet):
  • Marina-Hemmingway-z10-and-z17-only.mbtiles.pdf shows z10 OK but never shows a z17
  • Marina-Hemmingway-z10-z17.mbtiles.pdf has z10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and behaves OK, except for the dreaded OVERZOOM indication
  • Marina-Hemmingway-z17-only.mbtiles.pdf shows z17 OK, does not show the OVERZOOM too early

this is on latest git from a few minutes ago.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Beta Starts

Navigatrix ubuntu 14.04. When I installed the 4.99 beta all it did was update me to 4.87? Any ideas?

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Beta Starts

No 4.87 ever existed, so try to be a little bit more specific what exactly you did.
As you can see at https://launchpad.net/~bdbcat/+archive/ubuntu/opencpn there is no 4.99 beta for Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) available in Dave's beta PPA at this moment.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Beta Starts

Sorry, my finger missed a decimal point; 4.8.7 is what I ended up with. I am currently trying to upgrade my version of Ubuntu as Navigatrix uses such an old one. I'll see if its possible. Thanks for the link/help/response.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Beta Starts

Forgive my ignorance, but Isn't this the release for 14.04 trusty?

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Beta Starts

These are metadata for the repository for trusty. There are some packages for trusty in this PPA. But there is no opencpn 4.99 package for it, as you can see from my link above:

O4.99 is buildable on trusty, so this may change with future betas of course.
