Opening pilot chart

I have downloaded the .kap files that should contain the pilot charts for the Atlantic. I've also installed the BSB4 plugin. But I'm still totally lost as to how to open a pilot chart (.kap file) in OpenCPN. I'm not a computer jock so please try to help me through the process step by step.

Please spend some time reading the manual, that will explain it all to you.

kap files are BSB3 and not BSB4. No plugin is required to display the pilotcharts.
