OK, AWA is fixed!

But I am not sure what is going on here, this morning I can't get TWS or TWA calculated in the plugin.

To make sure this is repeatable, I

deleted the plugin's dat file
made sure that OpenCPN does not use any calculated data from
- nodered (removed input-connection in Opencpn)
- nmea-converter plugin (disabled)
deleted any NMEA sentence filters in OpenCPN.

Attached (longer) VDR file is from this morning. Plot_pi as well as dashboard show AWA, AWS from VWR, but both do not calculate TWS or TWA.

I do not understand what is different to yesterday, your last commit should make no diff to TWS or TWA calc. Please run the VDR on your side with any other inputs disabled and see whether you can repeat the result.

As far as I can tell the plots is fixed..

Plots gets tws from nmea and doesn't attempt to compute it. Actually computing TWS and TWA correctly in my experience is limited if you have only apparent wind sensors and gps because the data is not really good enough once you apply the law of cosines.

If you used rate gyros and accelerometers to smooth the gps data, and either high speed wind ultrasonic wind sensors maybe, or compute true wind over a much longer period with a slow filter of 10 second or more time constant.... typical wind sensors swing around too much.

OK, agreed. I have several ways to compute TWS and TWA now, either with the NMEA converter plugin, or with note-red.

I am trying to create a sentence for TWD display, what are the requirements for that? So far I tried to create a MWD sentence, but plot doesn't display it yet:

Looking into the translations at Crowdin a question:

"Displays lines on the chart showing the autopilot's configured headings"

Is heading here a synonym for course or is it really heading, i.e. orientation?
There are some other sentences raising the same doubts.

The download link for the plots plugin for ov5 for Windows on the OpenCPN website is not working for me. Anyone know why or where a binary for this plugin can be download from?

I tried to down load the windows Plot plugin OCPN 5.X Version and the link throws me off and all I get is an error about a blob. Here is the link from the download page OpenCPN
