Take a Screenshot - Additonal

Quote:
To take a screenshot and save it as a file. Press the Windows logo key +PrtScn. Or, if you're using a tablet, press the Windows logo button + the volume down button. The screen will dim for a moment when the screen is copied and saved as a file in the Screenshots folder (which is in your Pictures folder).

From within the Editor, Link to an uploaded Screenshot

From within the Editor, while editing a Page of the Wiki, Link to an uploaded Screenshot.

  1. Login to your account on the Wiki.
  2. Goto the OpenCpn User Manual page you would like to edit.
  3. At the top right you will see "View" "Edit" "Outline"
  4. Pick "Edit" to edit the current page.
  5. Put your cursor where you want to insert the Screenshot.
  6. On the top line of the Rich Text menus, find the Picture and hover the word "Image" should popup. Click.
  7. Image Properites pops up with cursor in the URL box. Click Browse Server.
  8. You are now shown the File Browser, browsing your files.
  9. At the top are commands: Upload, Thumbnails, Delete, Resize, Insert.
  10. Now I just learned something, you can upload from within the Editor, by simply going to Picture "Image" Icon! How nice.
  11. So the last step is to select "Insert"
  12. Your screenshot should appear.

So if there are any questions for editing Plugin documentation please put them on this forum. And thank you for all your contributions!

Re: Plugin Documentation - Volunteers Needed

Rick,

I have not played with DR_pi recently but it should compile standalone from GitHub with O4.1.x

Thanks for helping out with the Wiki. And adding Petter5's suggestion.

How do people find these plugins, especially the betas? Should there be a download link on the Wiki page? Not everybody will be using this forum to see the announcements for new plugins.

Intend using the template from Roel Smidt in future edits on the Wiki.

Re: Plugin Documentation - Volunteers Needed

Hello RGleson, and All,

I do not intend to update pages using OpenCPN 4.2.

I'm having too much work to realize the full update the French website opencpn.shoreline.fr for that version 4.2.

But I am wholeheartedly with you.

Best regards. Gilletarom

Re: Plugin Documentation - Volunteers Needed

Documentation for oTCurrent has been added to the Wiki.

The 'External Plugins' page has been updated for DR, oBabel and oTCurrent and the links to the 'How-To' pages inserted.
