PolarCOM

I have added PolarCOM (Polar Navy) to the list of recommended supplementary software (NMEA Instruments | Official OpenCPN Homepage). It provides visually appealing NMEA gauges for GPS, wind instruments, etc., as well as offering the (linux-compatible) anchor alarm I've been looking for.

Sadly I don't get any sound on ubuntu karmic (pulseaudio). Brak, any ideas what could be the issue here?

Glad the issue is fixed The most common reason for audio issues is PolarCOM being unable to find it's audio files. On Linux make sure you open the entire archive. There should be no issues with path, normally - but just in case if you see this happen again, try to run PolarCOM from the directory above like so: ./bin/PolarCOM.

Thanks for your attention - I think that's exactly how it transpired. I lazily launched it via nautilus "run" and it worked from terminal within the bin directory (./Polar..)

I need to work on that. This is an issue usually found under Windows, but on Linux this is my bug. Will fix by the next release.
