problems using FURUNO GP39 GPS

I find it impossible to upload/download routes and waypoints from/to opencpn to/from my new GPS: model GP39 from FURUNO.
Everything working before with GP32 don't work anymore. It looks impossible to transfer data through serial link.

The manual confirm that you have to use a USB stick but it doesn't work neither as is...
I've tried to save a route from OpenCpn within some USB stick as a .gpx file, I plugged the stick into the GPS and asked for download from E/S menu.
Answer is "Transfer failed..."


Anybody experienced this problem? And solved it?

I suppose you have tried "Format upload for Furuno GP3x" in options->Connections?

When you are trying to transfer files with a USB stick, make sure that it’s not "too big" for the various devices. My car stereo, for example, is limited to 32Gb, as are my Simrad MFDs. Maximum sizes aren’t very well documented.
