Re: PyPilot

Pypilot_pi which works with pypilot has been updated to v0.22.5.0 and is available in the Plugin Installer master catalog now. 15 environments are available including win, MacOS, many linux ubuntu and android. (from Option > Plugins you need to "update" the master catalog and then install the plugin.

Re: PyPilot

To be clear, this Pypilot_pi plugin provides an OpenCPN interface to Sean's opensource autopilot Pypilot -a Raspbery Pi autopilot server

Re: PyPilot

There is a new version 0.22.5.0 coming into PIM.
I would appreciate it if someone using flatpak and ubuntu would advise if the plugins is working properly.

There could be an issue with user writable data.

Pypilot has been updated for all builds and merged into PIM catalog

pypilot 0.24.0.0 all 15 env

Would be very interested in how it works on all these environments.
Somewhat of an experiment.

Re: PyPilot

I've tried the windows version of shipdrivertracker (Mike R. and Douwe F. modified for autotrackraymarine) to test pypilot and I had a better experience, because pypilot has a more useful interface using a toolbar icon. The only problem is after getting ShipdriverTracker started with an active route and hitting "Auto", that Pypilot still seems to be disconnected. --Perhaps I need to do something else??

Re: PyPilot

Hi Rick,

I have been fiddeling around with Flatpak on my RPi-4. I have to say it generally runs very smooth, however, currently I have re-installed the whole thing to get around the Weatherfax problems which occured on my system(s) after the last update and now I realize, that the Pypilot plugin is no longer part of the master catalog. Is this by intention (I saw on the Plugin-Links thread, that it is still under Beta plugins)

What should I do? Install "normal" (apt-get install...) or will there be a change to the catalog? I am a bit confused, as I believe, I had installed it via the "standard" master catalog earlier.

Do you have any advice?

Thanks a lot and best regards,

Uwe

Hi Dave,

installed the latest Pypilot plugin 034.4.0 on my RPI4 with RaspiOS, the Ubuntu Jelly Fisch for RPI, Ubuntu Jellyfish for AMD64 and Linux Mint AMD64.

I now only use the flatpak versions.

Pypllot plugin shows up in all this systems. However I'am not able here in my office to test the working.

But all seems well.

Regards,

Bram

Dear Dave, dear Rick,

what should I say?? Again you are faster than the speed of sound .... :-)
Thank you very much! Installed the new version on RPi and Windows. Installs fine, as to the functional test, I will be in Spain next month, but I think it will work fine.

Thanks again and best regards,

Uwe
