Questions running weatherfax and AIS

Im on a RP4 Im not quite clear whether I can run these two at the same time. I was running gps and AIS just fine. I went to start the process of installing hardware and software with the goal of accessing weatherfax. I installed a whip antenna attached to an rtl-sdr. I also have an rtl sdr running to my main vhf for the AIS.

I was unable to install gqrx despite trying a few methods, and my AIS stopped working. I’m convinced the two are connected but my experience is extremely limited. When I went to unplug the rtl dongle attached to the whip antenna it was hot to the touch.

I’m sure I’m doing a few things wrong here, I’m just trying to unpack my rats nest of mistakes and start over [emoji23]. Any suggestions of previous posts or other related materials to assist me would be great.
