radar does not show

Hello,
We have AIS working. When we try and bring up the BR24 radar it will go into standby mode but does not display. We are new, as you can tell by the question. But would still appreciate some help. Thank you.

- OS? OCPN version? (Pls update to 5.2.4 if not already there)
- Update to newest radar_pi using plugin manager. (Uninstall BR24radar_pi if present)
- To switch from Standby to Transmit just click the button. ("Standby/Transmit"

- AIS is very fine but how is this connected to radar_pi in your question?

When I read his message and read it again I am not quit sure he knows the difference between Radar and AIS. Seeing the availability of a plugin called "AIS Radar View" which is completely useless I guess he has mismatched AIS and Radar.

We have radar plugin 5.1.4 installed, we are running 5.2.4 ocpn and our OS is Windows 10. When we selected Standby/Transmit we could see the radar. Problem solved! We mentioned the AIS just because we could see that it was working.
Now another stupid question:
In the lower right hand corner of the ocpn screen, next to the charts panel options button there is an own ship icon that toggles from red to blue. What is it for. We see no change when we toggle between the two. We could not find it in the manual.

In the manual it's called Auto follow, i.e follow the boat.
The manual is unfortunate slightly dated in this manner so the icon is changed.
