hydroid..
Please see the manual here
Remember the Halo type is called "Navico" since that's the maker irrespective of the seller's label. (e.g. Lowrance/B&G)

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released

My pitfall was the windows firewall was blocking the traffic from/to the radar.
After disabling the radar could be found by the plugin.
Afterwards I corrected the firwall settings.

If you want to save some hours, disable it initially!

That's a good advice like to read the manual where the firewall preparation is described.
Thanks
Håkan

@Ivanm, Sounds like you have a failing/restarting Ethernet connection. It is wired, not wireless I hope?

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released

I would like to thanks you chaps for an excellent radar plugin. After some fiddling around, I got the radar plugin working with my newly installed Axiom 9 plus and the Quantum Q24D radar. I found this forum very useful to guide me through the setup process. The radar worked well and I could control the settings from OPENCPN.
However I did have a big crash with OPENCPN and navobj reverted to the original setup version. After restoring to my current navobj settings I have not been able to get the radar plugin to display the radar screen. Obviously some finger setting up problem from me. The toolbar icon shows the radar has been detected, and it is transmitting. See photos of radar icon status attached. But I do not have the screen displayed. I tried toggling the HIDE RADAR button but it seems to make no difference.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this working again. Thanks guys.

Is there a check on [] Use Accelerated graphic... ? Hard to see here on the picture. If not go to Options->Display->Advanced and enable OpenGl.

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released

Thanks Hakan for the quick reply. Yes the OpenGL is enabled.
Also relevant info:
I re-installed OPENCPN 5.6.2. No change.
I re-installed Radar plugin v5.3.4. No change.
The data from the radar comes from the HS5 network switch via a Raymarine RJ45 cable. (A80159)
The boat position, speed, heading etc. comes from Actisense NGW-1-AIS interface.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Try to get the radar control menu: right click mouse anywhere, then select control Raymarine Quantum. If you get the radar menu, select Window, Overlay and so on.

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released

Douwe you are a master thankyou. Just the old right mouse click needed and it was all there for me. The system works great. By the way I did not need to use a router as my NUC8i3BE boat computer just accepted the ethernet signal from the radar. Thanks very much.

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released

Hi,
Just installed the 5.7.1 RC and Radar 5.5.0-beta.

Noticed
- does not show AIS targets on the ppi - toggled on/off and restarted same. Does show AIS targets on the chart

Mattzilla..
Yes, it's filed as an issue here.

Some integration with O 5.7.1 obviously failed.
