I am a "certified" marine electronics installer. I concur on the Halo. Easy to install. Works well with the plugin and it can easily co-exist on an ethernet network with a B&G chart plotter, OpenCPN, and other ethernet devices. I like the YachtDevices YDEN-02 for simple N2K/nmea0183 over tcp/ip.
