Route info has no info

Hi, I am running opencpn via openplotter on a raspberry pi with a gps connected. When I try to navigate anywhere the route info window pops up on the right hand side but all the screens are completely blank and black. Also in the dashboard things like vmg just read ---. Any ideas? Thanks!

The font colors for the Route Console are probably set to black. These colors can be changed in "Options".

Open "Options" (Gear icon under 3-bar menu symbol, top-left corner of the screen). Select "User Interface". Under "Fonts" (drop down menu) select "Console Legend". Use "Choose Font..." button to open the "Font" window. Change the color to "Lime". Click the "OK" button. Next, select "Console Value" and Open the "Font" window. Change the color to "Lime", and click "OK".

The "VMG ---" (velocity made good) may be harder to trouble shoot.

That fixed it thank you!! Strange that it was set to black by default but anyways.

Does anyone have any ideas why vmg is not showing?

Never mind VMG appears to be working now. I just had to activate the signalk > nmea0183 plugin and set that up in opencpn.
