Route planning and Tide indicators

I'm working on getting to know OpenCPN and have a question. The system shows current and tide indicators based on the PC time. When I right click a current station, the resulting chart has a red line on the present date/time. I also see where I can get future or past tide data by clicking on the Next/Prev buttons.

If I create a route for sometime in the future - say 2 weeks from now - is there a way to get the program to show the tides and currents for the future date? By show I mean in terms of the arrows on the chart.

Also - route properties has a box to enter in the date/time of departure. I enter a date/time (09/15/2016 11:00) but each time after saving this, the box comes up blank. Maybe this is related to the other problem I'm having?

Not sure why, but when I closed the app and restarted it, then I could change the departure date! App is now showing tide/currents for planned date!

That would be very very nice. O can also be a good planning tool, but you have yo use Mike Rasbats OTcurrentd pluggin, That does what you want.
