RPi high CPU load

Yesterday when sailing, opencpn became really sluggish to a point where it locked up when activating a route.
Restarted the Pi and checked the CPU load....
What I noticed is an application name "NODE" was running at 104% CPU usage...
When I killed it, my data feed in OCPN (from Signal K) disappeared. A few seconds later the data re-appeared and when checking the list with applications, the application "node" had returned as well. (under a different PID)
Is this the Signal K application?
BTW, running a RPI 3B+

Re: RPi high CPU load

Hi,

sorry, I donīt use node-red on my rasperry, so I canīt say.

First steps were to look for a misconfigured or high loaded data connection.

Regards

Andreas

Re: RPi high CPU load

I get between 9 and 13% cpu load for the "node" process on my headless Pi 3 with two serial NMEA 0183 inputs, if that helps.
